This kiln-fired glass Berry Wreath is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional wreath. Artist Caryn Brown arranges pieces of sheet glass which are heated to 1500 degrees and when cooled, cut into narrow strips. These glass strips are arranged with frit glass then topped with dozens if handmade glass berries, after which the piece is again heated in the kiln. Each piece is individually made and measures about 12 “in diameter. Colors include a variety of greens, reds, and corals, and each piece is signed by the artist. Ready to hang. The Berry Wreath also works as a table centerpiece with a vase of flowers or candles in the center. A red linen bow is also included.
